March: Spring into Fun

March is a time when the days start to feel a little brighter and we begin to see signs that spring is on the way. At Toy Share’s Kids Corner, we’ve put together a few simple activities that encourage creativity, learning, and hands-on fun for your little ones.

First up is a step-by-step guide to drawing a donut. This activity is perfect for young artists who love to draw and color. Children can follow the easy steps to create their own donut, then decorate it with sprinkles, icing, or any fun colors they choose. It’s a great way to practice fine motor skills and let imagination take the lead.

If your child enjoys helping in the kitchen, try our simple vanilla pudding recipe. This easy recipe is perfect for little helpers who want to measure, mix, and stir. Cooking together builds confidence and introduces early math and science skills while creating something delicious to enjoy. It’s also a great opportunity to talk about how ingredients change when they are heated and mixed together.

To celebrate the arrival of spring, we’ve included a plant life cycle cut-out activity. Kids can color, cut, and arrange the stages of a plant’s life—from seed to sprout to full plant. This hands-on activity helps children understand how plants grow and is a great starting point for conversations about nature, gardens, and the changing seasons.

Finally, our spring counting worksheet adds a little learning to the fun. Children can practice counting while spotting cheerful spring items like flowers and insects. Activities like this help strengthen early number recognition and observation skills.

These printable activities are designed to be simple, engaging, and easy to enjoy at home. Whether your child is drawing, cooking, learning about plants, or practicing counting, we hope these March activities bring a little extra fun to your day.
